The Team

The strategic purpose of Knowledge Management (KM) is to ensure that all those involved in delivering legal advice to clients have access to the knowledge and information they require to deliver a technically excellent, efficient service.

The LCR Department offers advice in dispute resolution in the following areas: corporate/commercial (including banking and regulatory, investigations and corporate crime), contentious construction, insurance and re-insurance, real estate, antitrust and competition and employment. Arbitration and ADR are offered as well as traditional litigation. The LCR KDL function also offers contentious support to other Departments, particularly Planning, Insolvency, and Tax.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a busy and progressive Knowledge Management team with the benefit of full training and support, and exposure to the work of both knowledge managers and fee earners in the Litigation and Corporate Risk department.

Who we’re looking for

Ideally you will have a Legal Practice Course qualification and previous experience as a paralegal. The right candidate will have basic understanding of and interest in general commercial litigation (including Civil Procedure Rules) and other forms of dispute resolution.

You will have good legal research skills, including online sources such as Lexis Nexis, Westlaw, PLC.

The role will also involve liaising with fee-earners and partners, thus excellent communication skills are essential.
